Prayer times and adhan, for your school of thought
Accurate daily prayer times worked out on your phone with the method your tradition uses, an adhan at each prayer, a countdown to the next prayer and a widget on your home screen.

Calculation methods for Sunni and Shia
Pick your school of thought once and Islamic Toolkit shows the prayers the way your tradition counts them. Times are calculated on the device from your location, so they work without a connection.
Sunni
- Muslim World League
- Islamic Society of North America (ISNA)
- Umm al-Qura, Makkah
- University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi
- Egyptian General Authority of Survey
- Asr: Standard (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali) or Hanafi
Shia (Ja'fari)
- Leva Research Institute, Qum
- Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran
- Maghrib by the angle after sunset
- Islamic midnight shown
- Optional joined view: Dhuhr and Asr, Maghrib and Isha together
Adhan at every prayer
Turn on prayer reminders and choose what you hear. Each choice can be previewed in the app before you save it.
- Sunni: the Makkah adhan for Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha, and a separate adhan recording for Fajr.
- Shia: a Shia adhan, for every prayer.
- Choose the full adhan or a short adhan of about 30 seconds, your phone's own notification sound, or silent.
- Switch each prayer on or off separately.
Reminders are scheduled on your phone. There is no server and no account, and they come back on their own after you restart the phone.
Match your local mosque
Mosques often set their own timetable. Use Adjust prayer times to move any prayer earlier or later by a few minutes, and the app, the reminders and the widget all follow your adjustment.
Countdown, today view and home-screen widget
- A live countdown to the next prayer.
- Today's prayers with the Hijri date.
- A home-screen widget showing the next prayer and its time, in the colours of the style you chose.
- Works with precise or approximate location, and keeps your last location so times show even with no signal.
Common questions
Which prayer time method should I use?
Use the method your local mosque or community follows. Sunni users can choose Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Karachi or Egyptian, with Standard or Hanafi Asr. Shia users can choose Leva (Qum) or the University of Tehran. You can also adjust each prayer by a few minutes.
Can I get a different adhan for Fajr?
Yes. For Sunni users Fajr has its own adhan recording. You choose the sound for Fajr and for the other prayers separately.
Do the prayer times need internet?
No. They are calculated on your phone from your location. Internet is not needed for prayer times, the compass or the reminders.
